Service 04
Rank for what your customers actually type.
Technical SEO, local SEO and Google Business Profile setup for AU operators competing in specific suburbs and regions. Built around buyer intent, not vanity keywords.
What it is
What it is
Anti-fluff SEO for operators who want to be found by the customers in the suburbs they actually serve. Technical SEO that fixes the site, local SEO that fixes the Google Business Profile, and content that targets the searches that lead to bookings.
Most SEO retainers in the AU market are a monthly invoice attached to a backlink report nobody reads. We do not do that. We do the work that moves rankings for the searches that move money, and we report on the rankings and the bookings, not the link count.
For multi-location operators, franchisees competing in three postcodes, and clinics trying to outrank a marketplace listing, this is where the budget earns. For everyone else, we will tell you honestly when SEO is not the cheapest customer acquisition channel.

Who it's for
Who it suits
Four operator profiles where this service has paid for itself fast.
01
The franchisee in three postcodes
You are a franchise operator competing for the same searches as the head office site and the directory listings. Local SEO done properly puts your specific location ahead of both, and the bookings show up where you can serve them.
02
The clinic outranked by a marketplace
A patient searches your service in your suburb and the first three results are HotDoc, Healthengine and a directory page. Your own site is on page two. The job is to invert that order, which is technical SEO and Google Business Profile work, not more ads.
03
The trade serving a region, not a city
You work across half a dozen suburbs in a metro area, not the whole of Melbourne or Dubai. Generic SEO does not target that footprint. Local SEO and per-suburb pages, done properly, do.
04
The operator whose Google profile is wrong
The Google Business Profile has an old address, the wrong phone number, or photos from 2018. Customers are seeing it before they see your site. Fixing it costs nothing in tools and pays back in the first month.
How we ship it
How we ship it
A short, structured engagement so the work is visible from week one, not buried in a monthly report.
01
Audit and benchmark
Technical audit of the site, audit of the Google Business Profile, baseline rankings for the searches that matter for your suburbs. You get a one-page summary of what is broken and what to fix first, ordered by impact.
02
Technical fixes and schema
Crawl errors, broken redirects, missing schema, slow Core Web Vitals scores. The unsexy work that has to happen before anything else moves. Most sites pick up rankings on this alone, before any new content goes live.
03
Google Business Profile and local citations
Profile rebuilt or rescued, categories and services correctly set, photos refreshed, posts on a weekly cadence. Citation cleanup across the AU directories that actually feed Google. The local pack moves on this work, not on blog posts.
04
Content and review cadence
Briefs for the pages and posts that target the searches that lead to bookings. You can write them, your team can, or we can. Monthly review of rankings, profile views, calls and bookings attributed to organic. We adjust on the data.
Engagement
Engagement and pricing
A one-off technical SEO and Google Business Profile setup runs on the Voltari Pilot tier as a fixed scope. Ongoing local SEO work, including content briefs and monthly reviews, runs on the Operator tier monthly. Multi-location operators with five or more profiles tend to need the Operator tier from the start.
Common questions
Questions about seo and gbp.
- How long until I see rankings move?
- Technical fixes and schema typically move rankings within two to six weeks because the site becomes properly crawlable. Local pack and Google Business Profile changes show up faster, often inside a fortnight. Content-driven rankings for competitive terms take three to six months, the same as anywhere.
- Why "Google Business Profile" and not "Google My Business"?
- Google renamed it in late 2021 and retired the standalone app. The product is the same, the name is different, and the dashboard now lives inside Google Search and Maps directly. Half the AU market still calls it Google My Business. We call it what Google calls it.
- Do you buy backlinks?
- No. Paid backlinks are a manual penalty waiting to be applied. We earn links the long way, through content worth citing and partnerships with sites that have a real reason to link. The backlink obsession in the AU SEO market is largely theatre and we will not waste budget on it.
- Can you handle multi-location SEO?
- Yes, and this is one of the sharpest use cases. A separate Google Business Profile per location, properly configured, with location-specific landing pages on the main site. Done correctly each location ranks for its own suburb without cannibalising the others.
- Will you write the content for me?
- We can, or we brief a writer you bring, or you write it from our brief. The brief is the load-bearing part, an unbriefed AI dump of a blog post does not rank in 2026 and does not convert. We are happy to do the writing, plenty of clients prefer it for voice consistency.
- How does this work alongside paid ads?
- They complement each other. Paid catches the searches you do not yet rank for, organic captures the ones you do without the per-click cost. We do not run ads, we will tell you honestly which searches are cheaper to buy than to rank for, and refer to a paid specialist if needed.
- What if my site is on Wix or Squarespace, can you still do SEO?
- Yes, up to a point. The platforms have real technical limitations on schema, URL structure and Core Web Vitals. We will tell you when the platform is the ceiling on what SEO can achieve, and whether a move to a custom stack is worth the spend. Sometimes it is, sometimes the easier wins are still on the table.
- How do you report on this work?
- Monthly note covering rankings for the target searches, Google Business Profile impressions and actions, organic traffic and bookings attributed to organic. One page, not twenty. The point is what moved and what is next, not a wall of charts.
